Happy Birthday, Olivia

Olivia opened her presents, bright and early. I didn't want her to have to wait all day until Randy and Isaiah got home(that would have been torturous for me), so she opened them at 7:30. She loves "make-up", so we got her a make up bag with some bubble gum chap stick and some bubble gum in it. She almost went through 1 1/2 packs today! She also got some perler beads. She had fun making a horse and a cute square today.




She saw this guitar in the Fleet catalog a few weeks ago and put it on her list. She was pretty tickled that she got it. Her and Micah were putting on shows today.



Olivia wanted pumpkin cookies. So, I found a recipe for pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. Tonight we had supper over at the Normans. Sarah made a yummy cheesecake. I forgot my camera(I'll have to get copies from Sarah).

Happy Birthday, Isaiah

Isaiah opened up this huge Lego set this morning before school. He saw it at Walmart a couple of weeks ago and really wanted it. It's just under 1,000 pieces and there are instructions for building 3 houses.




We started building one house after school and worked on it until supper. We did a little more after supper, but we had to move on to dessert.




Isaiah wanted pumpkin pie instead of cake. It was quite tasty, if I do say so myself.

Trick-or-Treat

Where is Fall?

I'm really missing Fall this year. It snowed before we even got to rake and play in the leaves. That's just not right. Last weekend when we were visiting my sister's family and my mom and dad, there was actually a nice day. I really like having a Fall family picture,so we went on a short walk looking for a good picture spot. The trees in Rochester haven't even changed yet, so we stood by a bush in front of some one's house. That might be the best we can do this year.

Isaiah

Isaiah's first day of 1st grade.









We were having steak for supper and Isaiah said he wanted more chicken. I told him it was steak. He says, while holding up a piece of steak on his fork, "This use to be a cow." Randy said, "Yep. Now it's steak." Isaiah says, "Pretty soon it's going to be poop."

Tattoo Monsters

The kids discovered a sheet of tattoos(leftover from Isaiah's birthday)a couple of days ago. They all wanted them on, so I thought, "Why not?". At lunch time they renamed all our food to fit with the monster theme.

Our Menu:
Bat Burgers (sloppy joes)
Bug Sauce (apple sauce)

Cheetos (fried fingers)
Bug Juice (juice)

My Baby is Three

We started out the morning by going out to breakfast. Micah is trying to hold up 3 fingers. An older couple, that Randy knows, came into the restaurant while we were there and the guy gave Micah a dollar before they left. Micah was speechless.





When we got home, we let Micah open his presents. Instead of saying, "Thank you", when people told him, "Happy Birthday", he would say, "Happy Birthday" back to them. We spent the rest of the morning at the park, playing with friends.










Randy's family came over for supper and cake and our neighbors joined us when they got home. Micah's cake is a baseball hat(in case you can't tell), with an M on the front and a 3 on the back.
